The International Green Entrepreneurship Forum
The IGEF is an annual network forum for partners from science and research (students, researchers and research institutes), private enterprise (entrepreneurs, established companies and investors) and “the public” (politics and special interest organizations) to combine their efforts to improve and promote the growth of the green economy and green entrepreneurship through genuine projects.
During spring 2014 the 1st International Green Entrepreneurship Forum took place as a part of the “Flensburger Forum für Unternehmertum und Mittelstand”. The IGEF was held as a one-day event at the Flensburger campus under the motto “Business Opportunities in the Green Economy – Combining Efforts of Science, Economy and the Public”. Among other, special guests were Dr. Robert Habeck (Minister for energy agriculture, the environment, nature and digitalization) and Jørgen Mads Clausen (Chairman of the Board, Danfoss A/S). The first IGEF were funded by the “Gesellschaft für Energie und Klimaschutz Schleswig-Holstein GmbH (EKSH).
Since 2017, the IGEF is part of the Schleswig-Holstein-wide project “StartUp SH” funded by Schleswig-Holstein with funds from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
